Great to hear of the idea of prospective members needing to attend more community events.
The more interactions that can be had with prospective members and existing members the better..
I’d like to apologize for not having been able to join the discussion, since I was out of town that day.
One suggestion I would like to pass on, is that people who are thinking about becoming members should spend much much more time in Goolawah to better understand the Co-operative.
Prospective members should attend more meetings (as mentioned in the minutes), they should participate in more working bees where they can (apart from doing sth) chat with members and get to know them.
And they should at least spend two month in Goolawah. thwo weeks are much to short.
In our existing policy we ask potential members to meet 15 members – that is not even a quarter of the existing adult membership. This number should be extendet to 30 at least.
