“The Board regrets to announce that the General Meeting of 9th May 2020 has been postponed until June. This meeting was to be held online via Zoom conferencing with electronic and paper voting facilities. However, the board understands that at least 25 members have expressed the desire to potentially vote via paper. Such large numbers, coupled with the transmission risks associated with paper handling, mean that such a paper vote could not comply with current ‘NSW Public Health (COVID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement) Order’, and would expose us to the risk of hefty fines.
The meeting’s primary purpose was to vote on the membership eligibility of Vismay Delekat. The board will now look at other ways to help this process continue to proceed. May’s essential Goolawah business will continue through online Directors’ Meetings.
We do apologise for the inconvenience especially to those members who requested online voting outside of Goolawah. This was a wonderful opportunity enabling those members who could not normally attend to participate but it is not possible at this time.
Any member who wishes to discuss the matter please contact any of the directors.
Regards,
Goolawah Cooperative Board”
