  1. The December GM minutes proposal was unanimous in approving an increase in Clint’s rate for road work from $65 to $85, which comes out of the Road Maintenance budget.

The October GM minutes proposal was unanimous in approving an increase in the rate for mechanical work claims by Sam to $50, which comes out of Tractor and Machinery Maintenance budget.

As I understand it, Craig coordinates this work, and Clint and Sam invoice the co-op as internal contractors.

Although, the October minutes mention preferred contractors (Sam and Erika) being paid $30 (co-op equipment) and $40 (own equipment) for APZ work, there is no vote on this. I take this to mean the document must be a draft requiring further discussion at the February GM.

Surely any member who has completed the Tractor and Machinery Usage Agreement and is willing and competent in slashing and completing other heavy APZ work should be able to submit a Work Claim for approval at a rate of $30 p/h using co-op equipment, and $40 p/h using their own equipment, without having to become an internal contractor and invoicing the co-op. This would hopefully mean more members would come forward to do the work and use the existing Work Claim process.

I’d like to include this item for discussion at the next GM. I’ll draft and post an updated Approved Work List and Work Claim Form to help guide the discussion.
