Social Calendar G-25
As explained at the recent AGM, our social team is planning a 12 month celebration of the Co-op’s foundation, starting now and culminating in the Co-op’s 25th anniversary in August next year. The central idea is to get members involved in organising individual events themselves.
Hopefully the draft schedule below will prompt members to volunteer to lead events – it shows those with an event organiser already committed to producing it, and those at the ‘idea’ stage until someone steps up. For example: Laz will organise monthly community dinners from Aug 2024 through Sep 2025; Alicia, Tanya & Trinh have events planned with exact dates to be set.
Please contact Laz or Trinh with an outline of your event idea, if you want it on the schedule. The updated calendar will then be shared monthly with members. Event holders will in due course communicate with the community regarding their event with the final details.
Feral Rabbits
Hi everyone!
At the recent AGM, I was tasked with finding out what options Local Land Services provide for reducing rabbit numbers. I’ve had a chat to the Local Land Services Biosecurity Officer for our area, Mick Charlton, and summarised his advice in the doc below.

The 2024 Goolawah Co-op Annual General Meeting is set for 9am on 10 August 2024 at the Camp Kitchen.
Nominations for Director are to be submitted by 9am Saturday 27 July 2024.
If you are interested in standing for election to the Board, please submit a nomination, including your qualifications and experience, to the Secretary, either by email to Secretary.Goolawah@gmail.com or in writing with a signature and date.
The election procedure is described in detail in Goolawah’s Rule 34.

Co-op Governance Training
As discussed at the June 2024 General Meeting, some members attended the recent Coop Federation Governance Training at Wauchope. Attached are the slides from the workshop – if you have any questions contact Wayne Skinner. And if you are interested in future training contact the Secretary.
By-Laws Bliss
On 17 May Resolutions for the upcoming GM were posted here and attracted several comments about the By-Laws Revision, which all then mysteriously disappeared after the document was updated.
In the ensuing investigation we (the G Web Team) eliminated the possibility of CIA or authoritarian involvement in attempted censorship, and determined that delinquent tech gremlins were responsible.
So, after rummaging around for hours in the dusty basement of the Goolawah WordPress back office and with support from their Happiness Engineers (I’m not kidding!), the comments are back. And the people’s right to free expression restored.
The attempted update was simply to include a link mentioned in By-Law #7 to the Introduced Species Management Plan (available under Forms on the website) instead of the old Animal Management Plan.
