I wouldn’t vote for a change of the Membership Policy, that allows disclosure of all available shares to people in the moment they walk on the land.
The unfortunate events around the sale of Rodney’s share show perfectly what happens when for example an interested member of the public (who had not even started the process) gets a “real estate list” inkl phone numbers (!) from a co-op member – and a second person who is in the process to negotiate cross paths. Let’s leave “real estate” out of the process as long as possible. If prospective members find out and hear whilst they’re here – fine, hard to avoid sometimes. But please let’s not convert the getting-to-know-the place-process into a run for real estate, People should focus on joining the co-op first.
