Co-op Policies

For easier access to the set of Goolawah policies, they are now displayed in latest updated versions only, in the drop down page in the heading above.

If you want to trace a particular policy development through its draft forms, you will still have to look through the Governance category, where relevant posts are in chronological order.

Special Resolutions – General Meeting 19 Jan 2019

Special Resolutions for General Meeting 19 January:

1. To adopt the full revision of Goolawah Co-operative Rules.

Rationale: To update Goolawah Co-operative Rules in-line with current practice, and the 2014 Co-operatives National Law (CNL), the Co-operatives National Regulations (CNR), and the Co-operatives (NSW) Regulation.

Proposed by Denise Cobourn, Seconded by Peter O’Hara

2. To adopt the revision of Goolawah Co-operative By-laws.

Rationale: Rule 9 By-laws allows the Co-operative at a General Meeting to make by-laws relating to behaviour, environment, development and governance providing they are consistent with the Rules, Law and Regulations. The draft By-laws have been reformatted with the revisions highlighted.

Proposed by Denise Cobourn, Seconded by Peter O’Hara

Draft Revised Rules & By-laws

The Policy & Guidelines team has finally completed the revision of Co-op rules and by-laws and invites fellow members to share the joy by putting it on the top of your summer reading list over the festive period.

You can then bring any questions or comments to an information session at the Camp Kitchen on Sat 05 Jan from 10 am. The team will be there to assist, but the reading homework is a prerequisite, as it won’t be a group recitation of the new grail.

Below you also have a table of the revisions to track the changes, and a chart of our governance arrangements, which could be useful.

The plan is to adopt the drafts at the General Meeting on 19 January.
